At Long Last
Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude. (Denis Waitley)
Hello my sweet friends. I hope you've been well and enjoying your summers. I wish we could meet up for a cup of coffee to catch up. I have so many stories to tell.
The Mister and I are slowly getting settled in our new home. There are still boxes left unpacked. Drawers to organize. Laundry to put away. Dust to clean. Finishing touches and decorating to do.
We took a trip to Crate & Barrel a few days ago. It felt so grown up pick out silverware and dishes for our new place. The kitchen is nearly done, with the exception of organizing the pantry. I've been on the hunt for soft & comfy orange sheets for our bedroom. It's the final component to completing the bedroom and to my chagrin, tangerine bedding has been hard to come by.
Today, I am planning to unpack our books. We purchased a beautiful bookshelf from Ikea that looks great behind our couch. I have been meaning to read more often, so hopefully having all our books in one place will serve as a friendly reminder to pick one up!
Slowly and surely, things are coming together. I plan to share pictures of the new place once we're settled.
In the meantime, I hope to post more often and get back into the swing of things online. I know it's important to take time to be present offline, but it always feels like something is missing when I'm gone for too long.
