Reverb 10.1 - Prompt from December 1, 2010

One Word. Encapsulate the year 2010 in one word. Explain why you're choosing that word. Now, imagine it's one year from today, what would you like the word to be that captures 2011 for you? (Gwen Bell)

2010 Extraordinary

Looking back on this extraordinary year makes my heart smile. I've loved my place in the world deeply and have received some unbelievable good fortune in return.

I had no idea the kind of delight I was in for when January began. That's one of the best parts about life, it unfolds in ways you cannot expect. 2010 has brought with it a new job, then a promotion. Good health, plenty of romance and new connections with wonderful people. I am in a more secure place financially than ever before. My dedication to this blog and the creative community has returned sparkle my way tenfold. My cup is brimming full.

2011 Serendipitous

It's hard to for me to assign a word to next year without thinking about where I was in 2009. The amazing thing about the internet is, my view on life in 2009 is summarized here. My aim is have a delightfully surprising 2011. A serendipitous year that causes me to marvel at the love, growth, creativity and abundance that surrounds me. I intend to do all that I can to invite this kind of year into my life - and when I come upon magical events and circumstances, I plan on leaning into them with grace, curiosity and an open heart.
