There’s Wisdom in Your Past and Future Selves

What if you could tap into the knowledge of your six-year-old self and the wisdom of your 86-year-old self? In this episode, we explore how to connect with past and future versions of yourself to gain invaluable insights and support.

Healing by Connecting with Your Younger Self

As a coach, I often ask clients to reflect on what their younger selves might want them to know. By doing this, you can provide comfort to your younger self and heal any unresolved feelings.

For example, my 20-something self longed for marriage and children. Connecting with that younger version now, after fulfilling those desires, brings me a sense of full-circle peace and reassurance. It also helps me appreciate the present, even the annoying and challenging parts of this season of life.

Gathering Guidance from Your Future Self

Just as you can connect with your past self, you can also reach out to your future self—the one who has already navigated the challenges and joys of life ahead.

When I tune into my future self, she offers guidance and comfort, providing a perspective that helps me focus on what truly matters and let go of stress from daily dramas.

Practical Tips for Receiving Past and Future Insight

You don’t need a complicated ritual—simple, everyday moments are perfect for connecting with different versions of yourself. Whether you’re on the train, waiting in line, or reflecting during a quiet moment, you can pause and ask your past or future self for guidance.

Try “Fairy Godmothering”

Offer wisdom and comfort to your past self and receive encouragement from your future self.

This practice creates a cohesive thread through time, allowing all versions of yourself to work together in harmony. This deepens your connection to the present and it also empowers you to make decisions with the knowledge of your who life’s journey.

Blend Imagination and Intuition

While this might seem “woo” or out there, it’s really just a playful and imaginative way to tap into your intuition.

So try it! Let this process be a collaboration between your mind and inner voice. It doesn’t matter if it feels like make believe—what matters is how it makes you feel and the insights it brings.

A Year of Calm for You

You don’t need another self-help audiobook. You need to listen to your intuition.

Imagine how it’d feel to slow down, breathe, and reconnect to the peace within.

A Year of Calm is your ticket to ending overwhelm and thriving in your life.
