My new weekly newsletter, A MOMENT, is designed to be your oasis in the crazy storm of life. Learn about the inspiration behind A MOMENT, what you can expect, and how to create a ritual that helps you begin the week.
Life can be a little crazy sometimes. Like when your daughter gets three ear infections in a row, your refrigerator and air conditioner break in the same week, or when you are okay but everyone around you is falling apart.
If you’ve ever wished for a weekly ritual to help you reset for the week ahead, then join me every Monday morning as I personally deliver a curated email with three inspiring ideas, two things I’m loving, and one prompt to ponder.
It’s Time for A MOMENT — But Why Now?
When I first started this website in 2009, my main intention was to share inspiration. Now, 14 years later, it feels very full circle to offer you this weekly dose of inspiration!
I’ve sent out weekly newsletters before and always loved it. Before I became an intuition coach, I even produced a newsletter about motherhood for a clients that went out to 4,000 subscribers each week.
Even though I knoooow the value in having a newsletter, and I love creating them, I lost my rhythm after pivoting in my business and having a third baby.
Enter: Em Conners of The Creative Bodega…
I started following Em few months ago. Her Instagram is full of amazing info about Canva, social media, and marketing. I totally love that she’s a woman in her 40s with two little kids because she’s lived some life… and she gets how crazy this season of running a small business while raising young children can be.
Her peppy personality and a straightforward approach has really inspired me to share online more consistently. (In a way that feels sustainable!)
I’ve taken four of her courses since March, including:
How to Create 30 Days of Content in a Day is just $50, but I would’ve paid way more. This class totally changed my approach to Instagram. I’m posting 6 days a week, with a solid strategy, and it feels sooooo good.
Start + Grow Your Email List (from Scratch!) is a bigger investment at $297 and it took me a few weeks to get through, but let me tell you… this course was THE PUSH I NEEDED to get my newsletter back up and running.
This new newsletter feels fresh and I’m excited to share it with you every Monday morning. It fits in really well with the branding and business refresh that I’m in the process of right now. (ICYMI —I share all about the magic that unfolded at my recent branding photoshoot here.)
What Should We Call It? — The Story Behind the Name
I’ve been driving my closest friends CRAZY trying to come up with a name for the newsletter. Some of the ideas that fell to the cutting room floor include: The Calm Club, Stress Less Digest, Unwind Update, and Joy Memo.
Inspirational Spark #1: Taking Ten Minutes
I shared this list (along with a few that aren’t even worth repeating) with my brand designer Jena from Sundai Studio and she suggested the idea of playing with the concept of time. She said that when you read the newsletter, you’ll be taking '10 minutes' to yourself, which really is what I want for you. It’s something we all need.
Inspirational Spark #2: Letter M and Mondays
I recently started following twin sisters and super copywriters Haley and Madison of Maha Copy Co. on Instagram @mahacopyco and they just launched a new newsletter called “Maha Mondays.” I loved the alliteration, the idea of releasing my newsletter on Mondays, and the letter M just stood out to me.
Inspirational Spark #3: Our Bestie Reese’s Needs a Moment
The words “A MOMENT” started lifting off the screen when I saw them. My husband Adam sent me an article from Harper's Bazaar with the headline, “Reese Witherspoon Is Starting a New Chapter. The actress, producer, and media mogul finally takes a (brief) moment for herself.”
If Reese is taking A MOMENT, we all need to!
This process of naming the newsletter is a perfect example of letting my mind, intuition, and the universe co-create to come up with something beyond what I could do on my own. I asked friends for their suggestions and opinions, I wracked my brain, I invited my intuition to help, and asked for signs. Through all the intuitive nudges, the name A MOMENT, revealed itself to me.
What’s Inside? — What You Get When You Subscribe
I have to say that I really hate newsletters that are overly wordy and promotional. Of course, I’ll share about the ways you can work with me, but that is not the main focus of A MOMENT.
My hope is that this weekly email becomes a ritual you look forward to each and every Monday.
When you open the email, there will be a small update on what’s happening in my world.
Then you’ll find 3 inspiring ideas to explore. These are tips I’m sharing with my clients, intuitive insights I’ve received, and ways to find more ease and calm in everyday life.
Next, I’ll share 2 things I’m currently loving. This is where I’ll curate and share the products, shows, movies, podcasts, recipes, etc. that I’m into that I think you’ll love too.
Lastly, I’ll share 1 prompt to ponder. You’ll be able to use the prompts in your journaling practice, as affirmations, or simply as something to contemplate in the shower.

How to Create a Weekly Ritual — with A MOMENT

When I imagine A MOMENT becoming a weekly ritual in your lives, a few scenes come through…
Your alarm goes off in the morning. You wake up feeling refreshed and ready to start your day. You brew yourself a cup of coffee and read A MOMENT in the quiet before your children wake up.
Or maybe,
You get through the hustle and bustle of getting the kids out the door. You do your makeup and get dressed, head to the office, ready to begin your week. Before diving into your first meeting, you take a few deep breaths and read A MOMENT.
Or perhaps,
Your mornings are aren’t nearly as busy or chaotic as they used to be. You have a lot of freedom these days. You do a few stretches, write in your journal, and then make a bowl of yogurt with berries and honey. You open up A MOMENT and find inspiration for the week ahead.
4 Ways to Make a Moment into a Ritual
Ritual stacking. Pair reading A MOMENT with something you already do on Mondays.
Delayed gratification. Don’t open A MOMENT until you’re ready to read it… glancing is way LESS SATISFYING than really reading.
Slow down. Do something that will slow you down as you read. Drinking hot coffee or taking steady, intentional breaths.
Ask your intuition. Try these questions, “What do I need? What will feel good?” And play with doing whatever your inner voice shares.
