Listen to Your Intuition in 3 Simple Steps

Your Intuition Is the Inner Voice of Wisdom Within

When you start listening to your intuition and acting on the guidance you receive, you will feel less overwhelmed and more aligned in daily life. Your intuition can support you in making small, everyday choices and in big, life-changing decisions.

Trusting Intuition Is a Process You Can Learn

Were you taught to seek answers from experts and teachers instead of trusting yourself? Growing up, you might have learned to question or ignore your inner voice.

Don’t worry, trusting yourself is a process you can learn. With patience and practice, it will become easier to hear your intuition and trust the wisdom you receive.

3 Simple Steps to Access Your Inner Voice

There isn’t one “right” way to access intuition. Use these steps to start accessing your inner voice, then adjust your intuition practice as needed.

  1. Turn your focus inward. Close your eyes, steady your breath, and exhale deeply when thoughts arise. Take your awareness to the space inside where you've heard your intuition before. (It could be the chest, belly, or somewhere else.)

  2. Tune into your quiet knowing. Go into receiving mode and listen. Your intuition might show up with words, images, sensations, or even complete stillness. This is perfect. Ask your inner voice open-ended questions — and if anything is unclear or unsatisfying to your mind, follow up with more questions.

  3. Trust with open curiosity. Your intuition is part of you. It wants what is best for you. It believes you and believes in you. Experiment with acting on the insights you receive. Play with trusting what comes.

How to Stop Overthinking and Start Trusting Your Gut

Your intuition can help you answer the questions you face everyday, like what to make for dinner, which email to answer first, how you should respond to a text message, etc. Trusting your gut can really help with overwhelm and indecision, relationships and business strategies, even manifesting and finding flow.

Release Your Expectations and Let Intuition Flow

Listening to your intuition is practice and a process. While trusting your inner wisdom has the power to change your life, the goal is not perfection. Please know that you’re not “bad at intuition” when something undesirable happens. There are ups and downs in all experiences. See what happens when you release your expectations and let your intuition flow!
