What Do You Do?
Katie and I talked about answering this question and how sometimes it can be easier to say “writer” or “podcaster” even those things don’t define her as a person. I’m excited to watch the movie she mentioned, Frances Ha.
Rituals and Routines
When I asked Katie about rituals and routines, we ended up talking about how she’s learned so much from having a lack of rituals this year.
Navigating through depression and traveling around the world, she learned that she was okay without her normal rhythms. Now that she’s put herself back together, she’s feeling stronger and more resilient than ever.
What Are You Celebrating About 2020?
I really love how Katie said she’s celebrating so much self-awareness and community + friendships. Those are some pretty incredible things worth celebrating.
On Change, Magic, and Flow
Katie said her ego would prefer to never change, which I think is something many of us can relate to. In the end we talked about flowing with what is and waiting for the sparkly feelings to come back. There is magic in everyday life and I really appreciated Katie sharing her lucky signals with us. I would love to know, what are yours?
