I first connected with Nishi through Jess Lively’s business un-coaching workshop invoice. She’s also enrolled in the Inner Voice Facilitator Training that I’m in right now.
Nishi has a beautiful aesthetic and a thoughtful approach to how she shows up in the world. I adore the name (and meaning behind) her company, Joy Parade. And we of course we have a shared love for all things intuition and flow.

Rituals and Rhythms
Nishi likes to find alignment before taking action. This sometimes looks like:
Journaling with her intuition
Exploring work by Abraham Hicks or Eckhart Tolle
Finding inspiration on Pinterest or Instagram… here’s the account she mentioned that has daily messages from the universe
Whenever Nishi feels out of alignment she likes to ask herself, “Is there joy, ease, and lightness in what I am doing? Or is life feeling like a burden or a struggle?” (This is paraphrased from Eckhart Tolle.)
Sometimes this question helps her find space for a deep breath in the chaos of everyday life.
What Are You Celebrating About 2020?
Nishi shared how her mind made a lot of plans for this year, but within a week all those plans went away. Despite this, it has been a very empowering year for her.
We talked about how she’s gone through a lot of shedding of past identities and letting go of what used to define her.
This led to a conversation about releasing emotional “bean bags” or as Eckhart Tolle calls, the pain body. The method is to really allow yourself to feel the emotions and breathe through them. You can learn how to do this work with an inner voice facilitator (like me or Nishi).

We also chatted about what it’s like to realize you’re living the life you once dreamt of… and how reaching a specific point doesn’t guarantee happiness.
Creative Process + Magic
I asked Nishi about her creative process, especially as a published author. Her top recommendation was to get an idea out when it comes — either call a friend, record a voice memo for yourself, or write in your journal.
She shared the story of how her children’s book came about, how so many things fell into place, and what she did to overcome limiting beliefs in the process.
Nishi shared a bit about a course she’s working on around identity, culture, beliefs, and the things we pick up from other people. Follow Nishi for more details as they become available.
We wrapped up our conversation talking about magic… and I totally loved what Nishi had to say!
