Maternity Leave, Manifesting, and Making Space

Today’s episode is about going out on maternity leave, a gentle approach to manifesting, and how I’m making space for my new life as a mom of 3! I’m also sharing ideas for cultivating calm through this current coronavirus surge.

Maternity leave is here

This will be my last live recorded episode for a while. In the last week or so, I’ve found a lot of clarity around work and this podcast. Wrapping up now, before the baby is here, is what feels good.

That means the series on motherhood and identity is on hold (for now). but I have a feeling it’ll come back at the perfect time and in the perfect way.

In the weeks ahead, I’ll be sharing a curated collection of my best and favorite episodes. These will be a mix of solo episodes and interviews from the past year and a half since the show started.

Making space — physically and energetically

I’m embracing my nesting energy and making all sorts of space for this next season in life. I recently hired an organization pro to clear out the old, make space for the baby, and do it in a beautiful way that will grow with our family!

Two books that I love on this topic are:

Energetically, I’m craving spaciousness and ease. Being right on the edge of welcoming a new baby, I’m focusing on letting go, releasing, and allowing as much as possible!

What does that look like practically? Clearing out my calendar, spending time alone (and with my intuition), and also creating space between myself and people who might normally be “tricky.”

How I’m manifesting magic with ease

I’ve had a few magical manifestations happen recently! One thing I’ve noticed is the more I open my awareness to serendipity, the more serendipity shows up for me.

Often with manifesting, we’re taught to be super specific and focused. That can absolutely work, but another approach is to be gentle and clear. Being wishy washy does not work well, but choosing an energy that feels open, easy, calm can work wonders!

Sharing what you manifest with a friend can also be very reassuring and help create momentum. If you don’t have someone in your life who you feel comfortable doing that with… message me on Instagram @kaileenelise or send me an email!

Cultivating calm in this Coronavirus surge

The very first episode of this show aired on April 23rd 2020 and it was titled, How to Cultivate Calm During Coronavirus. It some ways it feels like we’re back to where we began.

Here in Austin, Texas, the ICU beds are reaching capacity… and even though we’re vaccinated, it’s hard not to feel an eerie sense of déjà vu with so many things being unknown.

Here’s how I’m cultivating calm right now. I hope they inspire you to create anchors of your own.

  1. Be in the moment. Not in the past or in the future. Use your senses to see, feel, touch, taste, and smell what is happening right now.

  2. Do what feels good. This has been a focus of mine over the past few months and it’s something I want to carry forward into the fall season. Prioritize taking care yourself by choosing to take action on what feels good. For me that’s been baths, naps, staying hydrated, and reading more fiction.

  3. Journaling. Writing in my journal is always something I come back to. Lately it’s been a source of comfort, calm, and magic. (Click here to learn how to Journal with Intuition.)

  4. Say yes. I’m leaning into saying yes to myself, my children, and my husband. Even though it isn’t my natural tendency, saying yes when I can has felt good! If you want some inspiration around this idea, read Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes and The Surrender Experiment by Michael Singer.
