Not Ready for Resolutions? Instead, Welcome Yourself to Winter
Not ready for resolutions? That’s okay.
There's a lot of New Year, New You hype in the air. It's part marketing strategy, part Gregorian calendar reality that this time of year is full of talk about fresh starts and new energy.
But what happens if you're not quite ready for resolutions? Does that mean you've done something wrong, that you missed your cue, or that you're already behind? Not quite.
Let yourself go at your own pace.
I'm here to give you a big, luxurious permission slip to make these first weeks of the year whatever you need. There's no one-size-fits-all approach to starting a new year. Annnnnd sometimes the practices you used to love land flat after you've done them over and over again. I invite you to get generously honest with yourself.
Take a moment to respond to these three prompts:
Where am I in life right now?
What actions will support me most?
What will help inspire me?
Begin there. And then press mute on all the New Year, New You chatter. Listen to your intuition. Trust your gut. Do what you need.
What season of life are you in right now?
There are seasons in life when the holiday decor gets packed up swiftly, hand-written thank-you notes go out promptly, and you're racing into the New Year with bells on!
And then there are seasons when everything moves like molasses.
Where despite your best efforts, the piles of toys and stacks of papers multiply before your eyes. And all your New Year energy goes towards searching for a new dishwasher because yours broke.
Instead of doing New Year things, welcome winter.
If you're not quite ready for resolutions, maybe try something different this year. Welcome yourself to the season you're in with my Winter Solstice Mini Course.
Pause, breathe, and slow down with a guided meditation. Connect with intuition and set intentions for the winter season (much less pressure than the whole year). Tune into collective wisdom through an oracle card reading.
One participant said, "It was a great 45-minute pause in the chaos!"
Another said, “A great wintertime gift to myself.”
Mute the hype. Turn up the volume on your inner voice. Get the clarity you need for this season.
